Simsbury Soccer Club EEC Policy
Simsbury Soccer Club is following the Simsbury High School plan for potential field closures due to the emergence of the Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) in Connecticut. We would like to make you aware of our plans moving forward.

At this time, the Department of Public Health has not identified Simsbury as an area of concern. We will continue to monitor their reports daily and make adjustments regarding the use of our fields as needed to best meet the needs of our players and families. Based on the information from the Department of Public Health and Farmington Valley Health District as recently as yesterday, we do not need to make adjustments to our current schedule. Should this change, you will be notified as soon as possible. We are communicating directly with coaches to emphasize precautions that can be taken, such as the use of insect repellant and the covering of bare skin.

For more information please visit the Connecticut Mosquito Management Program website. For more information about EEE prevention, please visit the CDC website.
